1. Product Description

Our company produces and distributes:

  • Printed books (softcover, hardcover, saddle-stitched, pamphlets)

  • Playing cards (cardstock)

  • Dice (plastic, resin, or similar materials)

These products are intended for teenage and adult users, typically as part of recreational use. They contain no electronic or mechanical components.

 

2. Regulatory Compliance

This document affirms that our book products comply with:

  • Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), and/or
  • UK General Product Safety Regulations 2005, as applicable in the respective jurisdictions.

 

3. Safety Assessment

These products present minimal risk under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. Potential hazards are limited to:

  • Paper cuts (books and cards)

  • Choking hazard from dice or bookmark ribbons if used by young children

To mitigate risk:

  • We do not design or label any products for use by children under 3.

  • Dice used are standard polyhedral sizes (≥16mm), minimizing small-part concerns for the intended age group.

 

4. Traceability

All products are traceable through one or more of the following identifiers:

  • Books: Identified by ISBN, product code, or internal SKU

  • Playing Cards: Identified by product code, edition/batch label, or packaging barcode

  • Dice: Identified by product code, set name, or packaging label/barcode

We maintain internal records that link each batch of books, cards, and dice to their respective suppliers, manufacturing batches, and distribution channels. This ensures we can trace individual units in the event of a complaint, defect, or recall.

 

5. Supply Chain Responsibility

All products are are sourced from reputable third-party manufacturers, who are required to comply with relevant product safety expectations (e.g. use of non-toxic materials, clean production standards).

 

6. Corrective Action and Incident Response

We maintain a product feedback and complaint handling process. If any safety issue arises, we will:

  • Investigate the root cause
  • Notify relevant authorities or marketplaces (if legally required)
  • Implement corrective actions, including product withdrawal or recall

 

7. Warnings and Labels

Depending on the product type:

  • Books: No safety warnings are generally required. Where necessary (e.g., edge cases with included accessories), a suitability statement is included on packaging or product pages.

  • Dice: Where applicable, products are labeled with: Warning: Choking hazard – small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years.

  • Playing Cards: No safety warnings are generally required. Where necessary (e.g., edge cases with included accessories), a suitability statement is included on packaging or product pages.

All warnings are placed in clear, visible locations on physical packaging and/or on the product page in digital marketplaces.
